After you reach out

What happens when you contact the firm

  1. Tell us the basics

Share the type of matter, the county involved and any upcoming hearing or response deadline. Keep your initial message brief.

  2. Discuss your situation

A consultation gives you an opportunity to explain your concerns and ask about the legal issues, possible next steps and scope of representation. Ask about the consultation fee when arranging your meeting.

  3. Decide how to move forward

Before representation begins, the engagement terms explain the work the firm will handle, the fee arrangement and your responsibilities. A website inquiry alone does not make the firm your attorney.

Ms. Laguna was amazing to work with during a really difficult time. She was very easy to talk to, personable, and extremely knowledgeable. I really appreciated that she answered the phone herself, it felt much more personal and caring than most law offices. She was attentive, responsive, and made the whole process a lot less stressful. I’d highly recommend her to anyone needing a divorce attorney.

She represented me through a difficult family law case and was exceptional from start to finish. As a solo practitioner, she personally handled every aspect of my case, which gave me confidence that my concerns were always being heard and addressed. She took the time to explain the legal process, answered my questions promptly, and fought for the best possible outcome.

This woman is absolutely the person you want on your team. I was looking at a very difficult case where I was told by every lawyer that I would most likely lose. Millie believed in my case. Her knowledge in family law is on another level. Recommend her 10 times over!

Common questions

Before you call

Can my divorce be handled online?
Attorney meetings and document work can be handled remotely in eligible cases. Whether a court appearance can also be remote depends on the court and your circumstances. We assess those requirements before describing the process for your case.
What if we agree to divorce but disagree about money or parenting?
Agreement to end the marriage does not resolve every divorce term. Identify the remaining issues so your attorney can discuss negotiation, any necessary court proceedings and the documents you will need.
Do paternity cases also address child support and parenting time?
They can. Legal parentage, support and an enforceable parenting arrangement are related issues that must each be addressed appropriately. Bring any acknowledgment, support notice or existing court order to your consultation.
What if I have already been served with an injunction?
Read every page, follow any order in effect and note the hearing information. Contact the office promptly with the hearing date. A consultation request does not postpone a hearing or change an order.
